This is a great product. I use it professionally with excellent results. The Epron R's have print heads that are very expensive. The Canon Pro-1 has ink that cost too much, (I use a lot). The models below the Pro-1 only have 8 inks or do not use dyes. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is to make this look as good as as the more expensive printers, you have to spend a lot of time determining the right profiles for the different papers you use. Surprisingly the most difficult papers to work with are the Canon papers. Canon does a horrible job with this and for some, this may be reason enough to go with Epson. That said, when you get it dialed in, it's amazing. Also, Red River papers are easy to profile and are a favorite of many.

It prints beautifully! I have had 3 canon printers including pixma 9000 pro. It did a great job for 9 years. This printer has more options and better coor. I have only had it for 2-3 weeks but so far so good.

The Canon PIXMA PRO-100 printer produces excellent prints that have deep rich colors without and sharp images without too much contrast. This is my first large format photo printer, so I have no real basis for comparison but it takes a few minutes to print 4x6 photos and longer for larger sizes. So far, I've printed 10 photos and had a glitch with two: one print cropped the top of the image on an 8x10 print that I had edited so it could have been setup improperly; on another, the printer stopped three-quarters through a 5x7 print, which may have been due to a Wi-Fi interruption. Otherwise, the printer has been trouble free.
Took me a minutes to setup- the size is intimidating lol. However once your condones have firmed up, the software walk thru is simple. Haven't started using it full time, but I love the wireless aspect so far.

I began researching this printer back in November 2015. I had a Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II printer then and I wanted to switch to a printer that used pigment based ink rather than dye based ink. I had been very satisfied with the Pro 9000 and decided to stay with the Canon line of printers. After purchasing this printer, the set-up process was very easy. I had also purchased a Datacolor Spyder5 Pro colorimeter, using the sRGB as my guide. After exploring the various things that can be done with software included with this printer, I can honestly tell you that I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend this printer to the advanced amateur or working professional photographer. The only thing that I am unable to do with this printer is to print a sheet of nine wallet sized photos on one sheet of 8.5x11 paper. I've looked everywhere and tried everything but to no avail.Read full review
