    Skip the film; read the book.

    I've read the true-crime book this film was based on and have the say the movie didn't do the case justice. It was divided into two parts and the first part of abysmal as films go. It was disjointed, confusing, didn't cover the important parts necessary to totally understand the second part. The second part however was a little more detailed, a little better presented, and definitely more interesting and accurate to make the case understood. This was an important case because it was a first in legal precedents in the United States. It was a dastardly crime and there were issues with the solving. I don't want to give anything away for anyone who after all these years still isn't familiar with the case and/or its outcome. The review suffers a little from my not wanting to mention ...
