    Yongnuo YN-560 IV

    Excellent flash, which is manual only but there are enough you tube video instructions to keep everyone happy. What appears to be a complicated interface is actually very simple once you have watched videos or read instructions on the internet as the instructions in the box are basic and not too good. This flash will also fit any DSLR camera with a metal hot shoe (some shoes have powder coating that needs rubbed off) as the only contact is one metal pin on the flash. I bought one advertised as fitting Nikon or Canon, I own a Sony A7ii and it works perfectly. The flash has zoom and power settings that are very easy to use. A highly recommended camera flash costing a fraction of a Nikon/Canon/Sony flash.

    good for the price

    all in all good flash, I use it mainly as slave, it's pretty solid but recycle times are slower than my nikon flashes and they consume a little more power - during a wedding evening I replace the batteries once on this where as on my nikon flash I don't need to replace at all, both under identical work load. if you are a beginner or an amateur it could your solution and in a good price, if you are a pro you might need to consider something else.

    the yongnuo is very capable of use in a small studio or out on a wedding shoot I have got six yongnuo flashes with soft boxes attached wirelessly to the system the tx is very light on the camera body and works every time recycles reasonably quick no waiting for the next shot and I use mine with the main studio flash it is great and very smooth to use.... just make sure you follow the instructions and or what the video on youtube . all I can say is fantastic piece of kit.

    Sony & Off Camera Flash

    Having struggled to find something suitable (and reasonably priced) to use with a Sony A99 this unit fitted all of my criteria. I already own a Sony brand flash gun but I needed something to work Off Camera and the Sony one doesn't even though it was mega bucks. The Yongnuo is great for my purposes which are mainly Still Life and Landscapes. I have paired it with Elinchrom Skyport triggers/receivers which I already owned and it works beautifully. Absolutely perfect and you just can't beat the price. Perfect for beginners and professionals.

    I thought that generally it was good value and easy to set up

    I have never used a speed light of any kind but after a few shot i was able to take sort out how it works and set the power for the venue. all posed shots were ok. The others were hit and miss and this ment that the moment is lost
