    Top quality lens.

    In my humble opinion this is just as good as the (old) Canon 100-400mm for less than half the money. Sharp enough at f5.6 and super sharp after. Focussing rapid too, even got a Snipe in flight! OK its a bit heavy, but has a neat carrying handle, which I tuck into my pocket!

    waste of money

    I could never get this to get sharp pictures Even having my camera sent to nikon to be calibrated and serviced. in the end I got rid , waste of money, my camera was a D7100

    Good value product

    It's big and it's heavy. And it has an image stabilizer. Note there is no EX version of this lens despite what is advertised! I needed a firmware update by Sigma before it would work with my Nikon D600 but it was fine on my D80 from the outset. The alternatives are more expensive so it's a case of 'pay your money and take your choice'. Sharp enough for me but not up to the genuine Nikon lenses nor my 70mm Sigma EX. Great value at the price & I'm very happy with it.

    Superb quality and optical performance

    This is a high quality lens in both image and build. It's a bit heavy but that goes with the quality. This lens, being a super telephoto highly benefits from optical stability with two strength settings. This means that sharp images can be achieved even when hand held at full optical stretch.
