Really Great Film
The true story of a poor kid (Homer H. Hickam) from a coal mining town in America who didn't want to go down the mines like his father and all the other boys at school. He and several school mates were enthralled by the launch of the Sputnik satellite in 1957 and developed a diy interest in rockets. They won scholarships to university and the author went on to an illustrious career with the US military and then NASA. The film title is an anagram of Rocket Boys which is the title of the original book by Hickam A very watchable and enjoyable film.
