Fantastic easy and looks as good when cooked
I'm not on any 1 particular diet but I decided to cut back to the bone on all the sugar in my daily intake and this book has been great to kick start my low cal low carb diet off. The recipes are dead easy to follow, nothing too fancy but these are for everybody with a busy life as you don't need tons of prep time ( unless you're cooking the chicken n ham pie with filo pastry top as cutting oiling and scrunching filo pastry top takes patience) but it's got some nice puddings too if you've a sweet tooth like me. I've dropped 18lb in past 4 weeks just cutting out all sugar n crap from my daily intake and used a few recipes from here. Today, I made the granola and it's lovely. Well worth the money. Compared to other high end books there, this is no fuss, straight talking easy to follow. ... The content was excellent but the used book was less than poor, The book was a present and when the friend opened the book it was found to have lots of writing in it such has wow, recommended, stars and ticks etc, this book was sold has new condition, far from it.

Proper food,like what yer mam made
I bought the book because it was recommended to me by a family member and it's reet grand.After flicking through the pages,I thowt now that's for me y'na and I have made about 10 of the dishes already,some of them more than once.What I like is the no faffing aboot,just good ,wholesome food that tastes like proper food,not something for rabbits.Exceptions to content are minor,really, 3cm is oft repeated and flaked sea salt ???????,but I can live with these and I love the food.I have a cupboard full of recipe books which yield 1 or two good recipes and the rest are discarded as too elaborate or time consuming or too-fancy ingredients. The Hairy Dieters - "We've lost weight and you can too!"
I like the Hairy Bikers, their television shows and they come across as really down to earth nice people. The front cover shows the results of their journey to lose weight and the picture shows it works. Again, the recipes are easy to follow, ingredients to use are easy to obtain, the book is self explanatory, and I have been able to adapt the recipe, within reason, to make sure I am keeping to a low-calorie diet. If you are not a very competent cook, try it, the results are excellent.I like the Hairy Bikers, their television shows and they come across as really down to earth nice people. The front cover shows the results of their journey to lose weight and the picture shows it works. Again, the recipes are easy to follow, ingredients to use are easy to obtain, the book is self explanatory, and I have been able to adapt the recipe, within reason, to make sure I am keeping to a low-calorie diet.
