    Significant upgrade to a Dell Inspiron 1545 Laptop

    Fitted and used with this Dell Inspiron 1545 (PP41L) laptop for several weeks now without issue. I had previously fitted the laptop with an SSD and 4gb ram for a new installation of 64bit Windows 10 Pro. This not surprisingly resulted in a much improved experience even with the 2.2ghz processor fitted. After some weeks decided to fit this T9600 processor though I tried to get a 9700 which is rated at 28 watts instead of the 35 watt T9600 which would have kept things a little cooler and given better battery life. The laptop is responsive and a pleasure to use with all the usual office type software and video playback looks good too though limited by the screen. For the £15 I paid at the time of writing it has been a worth while investment on top of the existing investment of software SSD ...
