In general it works fine, and it is possible to establish the communication with devices. Nevertheless it seems that the power supply circuitry is different from the one provided by NI, because the adapter doesn't work when it is chained with an optical isolator. I tested both adapters in the same chain, and they behave differently in terms of power supply.
