Very versatile camera. My main reason for this purchase was to have the capability to zoom in on wildlife. This camera is very capable of that task. It can also take very good macro and wide angle shots. My wife was hoping for an easy to use camera for portraits and indoor shots. For low light indoor pictures, you need to take it out of Auto mode. I use aperture priority at 200 iso with flash. At this setting I get some pretty decent shots. Not as good as my DSLR, but definitely keepers. As for S&H, it arrived in perfect condition from Canada to Indiana in just 3 days (free). Ordered it on Friday morning and received it on Monday morning. A++.

Fun to use, intelligently designed, fast. Noisy pictures as expected for the size of the sensor, that is beyond 500mm, even in bright iight (so 500mm to 1200mm - which it will do - are not that great). OK for the price though, for web photo posting or 5x7 or smaller prints. Good all-round camera for a newbie who mostly posts on Instagram and the like...

Purchaesed for a first-time, technology-deficient, wannabe wildlife photographer. Added a monopod to the purchase of this package. After some short time reading the manual and playing with the camera in an afternoon, she was off on a guided hunt the next morning. She was able to get some great close-up shots of ospreys, a hawk, rabbits, squirrels, birds, butterflies, turtles, snake, flowers, etc. She was satisfied, and I was impressed with the cameras capabilities. Battery was at half charge after 3-1/2 hours of stalking/shooting pictures, and a short video. The telephoto capabilities are quite impressive - especially for the compact size. So, with this camera, a spare battery, a monopod (added a shoulder sling), and some filters and incidentals in one`s pockets, one can spend a weekend iin the field for some great photos. Luv this camera! Needed a new camera to replace my Fuji camera that was starting to have issues. I did a lot of research before choosing this camera. I mainly wanted a point and shoot camera with powerful zoom to take pictures of birds. It does that very nicely. Once in awhile you will get a blurry picture but not very often. I luv the fact that a short explanation of the tools is displayed on the screen so you know what each setting is for without having to go and look it up. Saving and deleting pics is very easy with this camera. You can even remove portions of a photo right from the camera screen if you wish. I'm a armature photographer and have a lot more to learn about this camera. Taking in all the features this camera has and the quality of the pics, its well worth the money.

This camera has limitations (which I knew before purchasing) but it also has a lot of features for the price. The x60 zoom is great and it is lightweight. It can be mounted on a tripod and connecting it to your smartphone via the Panasonic app is a great way to do remote pictures and transfer images directly from the camera to your phone. I highly recommend watching the Graham Houghton Youtube videos to get a feel for this camera - he has a great series of videos to explain the camera in much better detail than you can get from a user manual. I'm still learning how to use the manual features of the camera but so far I really like it. I have taken 30-40 images on the initial battery charge. You will also need an SD card which doesn't come with the camera.
