About this product

Product Information

This GBA telling of the classic trading-places fairy tale casts familiar faces from Mattel's famous doll line in its title roles. Through more than 20 2D platform levels (and a number of mini-games), players take control of Princess Anneliese, Erika, and their two cats -- Wolfie and Serafina -- to uncover a dastardly plot and put a stop to it before anyone gets hurt. The daring adventurers will need to explore areas in the Royal Orchards, the Evergreen Forest, the Crystal Mines, and the Secret Hideout. Different characters have different skills, such as singing, using a shield, and digging and climbing, so it might take some teamwork to get the job done.

  • Fun Game For Girls (and shhh boys too)

My daughter is 4 and she just adores Barbie, of course, and she has two of the other Barbie games...Magic of Pegasus and 12 Dancing Princesses-both of which are very similar in the way that the game is played. The Princess and the Pauper gives you a bit more flexibility and allows you to play as different characters by using the L & R shoulder buttons to switch between them. You can also play as the puppy and the kitty as well. Plus there are fun mini-games to play as well. If you need to choose just one of them this holiday season, this would be my suggestion. There is an easy (unlimited lives) and normal mode (which give you 3 chances to complete a task) for both younger and older children who want more of a challenge. I've even caught my 6 y/o son playing the game-but don't tell ...

  • Great Game

The game is fun. My daughter (6) loves Barbie, and when she got this game she was elated that it was Barbie. Upon playing the game, about a million times, she still puts it in the gameboy first. It's her first choice to play. She absolutely loves the way it's easy to play and easy for her to understand. But on the flip side, my 9 year old boy loves playing with this game as well. He just doesn't want his buddies to know he plays Barbies with his sister. :)

  • Awesome Game!

This game caught the attentions of my 5 and 9 year old. It is very easy and fun and most of all entertaining. I love that the characters are able to switch jobs and the child has to think about that when they play. Overall I am very satisfied and glad to see a game kids can play without frustration.

  • Great game!

The game is fun and nostalgic. It arrived as described. Perfect for fans of the film.
