A great childhood coming of age film.
This film is based on the childhood of the director and his family about there time away on holiday. It's set in beautiful surroundings and scenery and its a film about coming of age. It's a great brilliant family friendly film that doesn't hold back. This director knows his stuff and wastes no time or money like many other film directors who do. It's a definite film for all. Great family viewing
This is an enchanting coming of age French film with English subs. The characters are well portrayed and the scenery in the south of France is beautiful. There is no horror, none of the more idiotic tricks of the modern film maker. Just a good story.

Loved the timelessness of the story, based on a boy,s childhood on holiday in Provence, in early 20th century France. Brilliant coming of age tale and of growing respect for his father.
