The Festool quality shines through and it is a pleasure to hold and use this saw. The precision makes it so easy to keep to well produced cuts, whether straight or curved. Taking the base off and replacing with another is so easy to do that switching from one base table to another does not detract from the task in hand.

This was meant to replace my Bosch of similar design. I’ve had it for four years but only used it intermittently. That’s due to the fact the switch is in a totally useless position. It must have been designed by someone with 6ins thumbs. The switch is out of reach in one hand operation and can be dangerous when you need to switch off quickly. The blade guide has been the problem to know how to set it(look on the internet to see) it’s been back to Festool recently, and the blade guide is now set well clear of the blade and seems to be much better. That’s not what it tells you in the instructions. Before I couldn’t get it to follow a guide for straight cut or the circle using the Festool attachment. The the switch on the side as in theTrion would be a better bet, but to be honest look at the BoschRead full review

Ive never had a tool like it it’s such a week jigsaw it’s just come off warranty and I will not have my own money in repairs now .... I’ve replaced it with a 240 metabo .... I think this jigsaw went back for repair 6 times for the same problem .... if anyone’s reading this pleading for someone to be honest then this is what you’ve been looking for .... the gear housing on this machine must be made out of chocolate.... if this machine slips out of the workpiece ie kickback then say goodbye to the gear housing ...... I love festool but this machine has spoilt my collection .... FESTOOL PLEASE BUILD ONE THAT ACTUALLY LASTS .....
