Product Information

Singer/songwriter Harry Nilsson wrote and produced this touching animated tale in 1971, and contributed some classic songs for the soundtrack. The soft Liverpudlian lilt of ex-Beatle Ringo Starr narrates the tale, telling the story of Oblio: A sad outcast from the village of "Point." largely eschewed by the local villagers due to his round head. The adventures of Oblio and his trusty sidekick dog Arrow subsequently take shape in the "Pointless Forest," a wonderland filled with colorful characters and some enchanting secrets.

    Get the Point!

    I decided to buy this vhs cartoon because I had it once before many years ago. It left an big impression on me, and when I saw it on sale, I knew I had to have this movie again. The songs are so cute and upbeat and they seem to make you float a long with the cartoon. I have found myself singing these songs long after the movie has ended. In fact, days later! The movie it's self is great for teaching us that we all have a point regardless of the circumstances. Not just physical, if that makes sense. Get the point! FANTASTIC!

    This is one of my all time favorite movies!

    I love the story of the movie. A kids movie with a very important message. Accept others for who they are. Narrated by the one and only Ringo Star, it's just awesome! Harry Nilsson does the music, his voice is magical and the lyrics are incredible! A must see!

    Finding the Point

    Getting this video and having a chance to just relax and watch it was like a flashback in time. I bought this video to hear the music again and I am very happy I did.
