About this product

Product Information

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate combines most of the content from the Wii title Monster Hunter Tri and the Japan-only game "Monster Hunter Portable 3rd" to offer players more than 200 quests full of classic monster-stalking action. As always, gamers take on the role of a hunter and battle large beasts through a variety of locations both on land and in the sea, and then return to their base settlement to take on more quests, exchange goods, purchase items, and upgrade weapons and armor.

Multiplayer remains a core part of the Monster Hunter experience, and Wii U gamers can enlist the help of AI companions, join local 3DS users, or head online and team up with three friends to take on tougher monsters, using their GamePad touch screen to quickly access books, maps, weapons, and mini-games. Capcom also plans free post-release DLC updates including new quests, cross-region multiplayer action, and off-TV play using the GamePad.

Arrived on the first day of the estimated delivery window. Arrived as described and working perfectly. I was a tab bit concerned when it arrived because the packaging wasn't greatest and was a little beat up, but it did work. So overall happy with the transaction.

    Great Value for the Money

I bought this and MH3U for the 3DS. The thing that swayed me away from just buying the latest version of monster hunter was that I could transfer game saves between this game and my 3DS, and I got both games for the same price as I would have paid for MH4U. Online play with my brother is a lot of fun and I am definitely getting my money's worth out of this title. I've already sunk so many hours into it because the thrill of hunting a giant monster that could swallow me whole is incredibly addicting and the stories it creates that I can share with my brother and laughs we've had made it a worthy addition to my small library of Wii U titles. This game is definitely more fun with friends and much easier. That doesn't make single player any less addicting. If you enjoy hunting extremely ...

    Not impressed

Bad controls. Strange linear gameplay. Repetitive. Nothing close to BOTW or other wii u action games.

  • Amazing Game, Amazing Price | There Is A Learning Curve

There is not much to say about this game. It's what you would expect from a great game. It has all the features you need. Good graphics, exciting hunts, challenge, online co-op, etc. The biggest downfall this game has though, is it's huge learning curve, so it'll take a bit to get used to this if you've never played Monster Hunter before. This Monster Hunter game is probably one of the best so far, and probably only falls short to Monster Hunter 4 with added features, but if we get 4 on Wii U, it'll be even better than this. This is a great buy, plus you can get it for cheap.

  • Still a Prime Example of Monster Hunter Brilliance

Perhaps the best game in the Monster Hunter franchise, this is the most balanced and rich Monster Hunter experience I've had. While some of the weapon mechanics feel antiquated now, the variety of monsters, the underwater portions, and the overall design of the game hold up well and still make for a really fun game.

  • Good All around fun

It's a good title, the graphics are a little behind, and disappointed that it isn't fully voiced, but the gameplay is good, and the controls easy, you get into it pretty fast, an enjoyable game.
