I am a plumber and have no idea how many electric showers I have fitted in the Reading area, this Mira shower is without doubt the best. It has a very large vertical heat exchanger which maximises the water flow over the element, excellent electronics which very precisely maintain an even flow temp and a whole slew of options on wire and water entry points. The plastics are firm and good quality - would not hesitate to recommend it and these days I refuse to fit cheaper showers because I know the customer will be back on the phone in less than a year. I bought this Mira Advance ATL, to replace a much older model of the same name. I was very pleased to find that the wall mounting holes, the water pipe inlet, and the electrical connections are all in exactly the same positions as the old model so an absolute doddle to fit! Bought this shower as, having contacted Mira, I was told that all the connections for plumbing, electrics and even wall mounting, were exactly the same as previous model bought more than 25 years ago. Installation was therefore very easy. Performs very well, with easily controllable temperature and good spray patterns. Too early to comment on reliability, but assume to be at least as good as previous model.

It's my second Mira shower, and the same one as I got 8 years ago. It finally gave up, mainly because the very hard water in my area produces a lot of limescale. I have a friend who lives in a soft water area, and she has had hers for about 8 years, and it's still fine.
