About this product

Product Information

The spiritual successor to the campy Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Monster Madness features a cast of high school archetypes brought together when their town, Suburbia City, suddenly becomes a playground for zombies, vampires, mummies, evil robots, werewolves, and other creatures. Viewed from an overhead perspective, the game offers four-player simultaneous action in a variety of outdoor and indoor settings. Nerdy Zack Fowler, cheerleader Jennifer Sweeney, Goth girl Carrie Rosenberg, and skate rat Andy Gomez will team up to use rocket launchers, shotguns, chainsaws, axes, and other weapons to turn the marauding creatures into monster soup and salad. Each defeated monster will drop various collectibles that can be used to craft new weapons and items, and players will even get a chance to pilot hovercrafts, mechs, UFOs, and other vehicles. Monster Madness features a cooperative campaign and an assortment of online multiplayer modes, ranging from a capture-the-flag variant to competitive free-for-alls.

  • Great entertainment for the money!

This game is SO much fun. I can play it with my kids and it's a total crack-up. Some of the maneuvers are difficult but I don't play video games as often as I used to (probably just rusty in my old age, lol!). Definitely worth playing if you like funny animation, teenage zombie fighting action and the Hulk-Hogan-like vendor who sells you your supplies is good for comic relief.

  • Not For Everyone

If you play this one or two player, it's not bad.. But if you try to play four player, get ready to get annoyed really fast. The camera in the game tries to keep everybody on the screen, so if one person is going down, and one person is going up, the camera bounces up and down.. Also unless everyone is following the correct direction with you, you can't progress further. I enjoyed this game, but none of my friends did, so I'll unfortunately very rarely play this.. If you plan to buy this to play multiplayer, make sure your friends have the patience to learn how to play.. Otherwise they'll get frustrated and put the controller down. Good Luck!

  • Skip Monster Madness

I bought this game thinking it would be an easy and mindless button mashing experience to share bonding with my son. I was only right about the mindless part. The game's controls are jerky and rather poorly executed. For the most part, we're never sure where we're supposed to go or what exactly we're looking for in a given quest. While the screen shots look good and the description sounds promising, skip this one and save your money.
