    poor sound quality

Very poor sound quality. I had my tv up to full volume and barely could hear. I have found this more than once with "sealed" products. Return postage makes it too expensive to return.

  • Timeless issues

Timeless issues addressed engagingly by powerful actors. Gregory Peck has personally stated that this was his favorite role in his acting career. Absolutely brings to the forefront American values of yesteryear. Highly recommended.

  • To Kill a Mockingbird

Except perhaps for Capt. Ahab in Moby Dick, no role is more memorable than Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch in this courtroom drama set in Depression era South. As true to Harper Lee's original text as possible, we imagine she is the narrator giving us the details from her childhood. Jean Louise Finch, aka "Scout," reflects on an event so powerful and controversial that her young mind can barely grasp the full weight of its meaning. As much as this is her story, she shares it with her brother Jem, some of which is his coming of age. Together with their friend Dill, and a whole town of diverse characters, we see how truth, fairness, and honesty battle with lies, prejudice, and bitterness. A must see for anyone interested in legal drama -- this is comparable to any "Law & Order" episode, ...

  • Moving and dynamic

An amazing film and a classic that needs to be seen again and again. The characters are wonderfully cast, Gregory Peck at his best! Their portrayals were very true to the images in my mind from reading Harper Lee's book. Far more that a courtroom drama, an important portrayal of a not too distant time in our history that must not be forgotten.
