About this product

Product Information

Created with historical accuracy in mind, Medal of Honor: Airborne follows the story as told by the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army during WWII. Gamers will navigate their troops through a campaign that begins in Sicily and ends in Germany. As members of this squad, players begin their missions by selecting a drop point within the mission map. After jumping out of the plane, gamers can direct their parachute toward a selected point where the unit will land, and then regroup to head toward objectives such as discovering a German communications center. Vehicles, including Willy's Jeep, are available for transportation, or as combat vehicles if players have enemies on their tail. To keep the game as accurate as possible, developers have included upgrades such as the ability to add extra ammo capacity, shoulder holsters, and weapon slings. Players can also upgrade their weapons by filing down firing pins for faster firing rates, adding grips and pads for stability and accuracy, and taping extra ammo to guns for quicker reload times. Online play is available for competitive multiplayer action.

Medal of Honor: Seen it Before, But Still Fun!

Medal of Honor: Airborne has the frame rate of Medal of Honor: Frontline, with The graphic capabilities if Medal of Honor: European Assault. it’s a great experience, but the biggest problem I have with this game is that it only has six levels. The crouching and peeking mechanics have been in almost all of the Medal of Honor games, but what I like about this one is how some of the weapons feel slightly unwieldy. You might be never sure if you’re going to hit your target unless you take another couple shots of the enemy just to make sure. It’s interesting seeing World War II from the perspective of the paratroopers, where instead of spawning into a certain part of the map, you jump out of a plane. You can choose where to land, gaze where the plane heads after you jump out of it, or take a ...

  • Medal of Honor : Airborne

Another game in the Medal of Honor line. I found this the most difficult of them all. The game is not hard per se, just takes a lot long to get thru levels than the other games in this series. Luckily there are only 8 levels in the campaign. I found the targeting system looks better than thre previous but is so accurate that you really have to be on target to hit anything. The biggest complaint is the AI....ANYTIME you get in the field of fire of a bot, they WILL switch on to you...no matter how many other targets there are or the range. Even when moving in cover it's like you have a big flag sticking up. It's very irksome to low crawl to a good ambush while 5-10 of your guys OPENLY assault a single enemy gunner...as SOON as you pop up he'll keep on you while the good guys stand around ...

  • Medal of Honor: Airborne (Xbox 360)

Medal of Honor Airborne is great game. I bought rather hesitantly, but I now enjoy it whenever I play it. The graphics are great and it is truely challenging. I liked it because when you can play through a game in one day, it isn't as fun, especially when you start playing it over. This is not a problem with MOH Airborne. The gameplay is different every time you play. I also liked being able to land anywhere in the level and begin fighting. The one thing I did not like about MOHA is that there are only six levels. The levels are long and challenging, but it still seems like too little.

This is a good game, if you like war and first shooter games. It is a little bit on the hard side, but has a lot of action going on and the need to use your brain a bit, too. There are some things you have to figure out what way is the best to handle a situation. Gun selection is really good-some work better than others,so you need to figure out what's best for you. The "enemy" is harder to kill than in some of the other war games. Still, all in all, it's a really good game and one to add to your library if you want war games. It is HARD to find, so if you get the chance to get one at a good price-take it!
