The game takes place in London at the close of the Industrial Revolution, and finds players controlling Jacob Frye and his twin sister Evie as they battle the Templars for control of the city's seven boroughs. This game offers a mix of fast-paced combat, parkour exploration, stealth, and investigation, though Syndicate adds a new mechanic that finds gamers assembling a gang and battling rivals. Missions include classic assassinations as well as bounty hunting, gang wars, races, and even train robberies, and during the course of their adventure gamers will come across various historical figures, including Charles Darwin and Florence Nightingale.

Great game
From start to finish this is a very compelling game with some great characters and story lines. I have always been a assassins creed fan and this game is an excellent addition to the franchise. The historical background of the characters that actually existed in real life is very well researched and gives some great information on them also the attention to detail for the real world buildings is second to none. I would highly recommend this game if you like me are a fan if the franchiseFrom start to finish this is a very compelling game with some great characters and story lines. Better than ACIII (not difficult!)
This is the first of the AC franchise I have played since ACIII (which was tedious), I quite like the gameplay and may revisit some of the other games now. Would really like to see the original with Altaïr remastered for the PS4.

Fantastic game with amazing detailed graphics and extensively detailed environments- really make you feel your back in ye olde England. Life like cutscenes with funny cameos from bygone famous people. Fighting sequences change dependant on weapon selected and who you're figthing. Plenty of stealth action and numerous ways to complete the missions in your open world environment. Enemies get harder as missions progress and use different tactics to fight/find you. The new grappling hook gives you speedy ways to scale huge buildings like the tower of big ben in seconds (you'll even find pigeons nesting at the top when you get there!) Sunsets across the Thames look amazing as you sail down the river on a paddle steamer. Once you get the chance to own your own steam train things really step up ... Not the best Assasins Creed, but well worth it at these prices
A bit repetative in terms of mission progress, but enjoyable enough for a complete play through. Played this after Black Flag, which definitely has the edge in terms of diversity, but for the price I paid it was a few weeks of great entertainment. I had the 1st PS3 Assassins Creed 1 which I got really bored with. The later ganes are a much more involving experience
