Reg Green...funny, entertaining, allows a person to 'forget the real world' for a little while.
The subject matter is great...funny...entertaining. The discs however are of spotty quality. Some require a 'better' quality player, like a laptop or computer, to be viewed as they will not play in a 'normal' DVD player.

They're everywhere!
The only thing funnier than rednecks are Canadian rednecks. Seriously, 'The Red Green Show' is hands down a television classic. Interspersed with madcap slapstick, verbal reparte and side-splitting visual jokes, Steve Smith actually manages to throw a tidbit of wisdom here and there. My favorite segment: Handyman's Corner. I feel much better about my hands on skills after watching Red's aborted attempts at "fixing" what should stay broken. Give 'The Red Green Show' a try, you'll be glad you did. Red Green - Stuffed and Mounted six-pack
Red reminds me of a combination of all the men I know. This show is very entertaining for those who like "inventive" humor. He is always re-making something out of odd things and finding new uses for everyday items. The group of friends he has are a riot. My husband used to watch this show all the time on PBS until they stopped showing it. So when I saw it for sale... I had to buy it!

Besides the hilarious (IMHO) comedy there are safety tips to be learned; "Always wear safety glasses when reaching into a running lawnmower." Or philosophies; "If you don't vent your anger how is the rest of the world going to learn anything?" Now that I've convinced you that you need this box set, I'll tell you where to get the best deal on one: EBAY.After renting these DVD's for the third time I decided I should have this box set around the house.
