Rotolight Neo II (Neo 2)
This is the best lighting sours that i have ever used! No recycled time, adjustable color, HSS, continuous Light Mode and very portable design! The NEO 2 has continuous lighting but adds the flexibility with a built-in High-Speed Sync (HSS) flash strobe when needed.The Knobs are very firm and responsive including the on/off switch. The battery life is extremely good if you are just using the flash with good set of 2700 mah rechargeable batteries. In continuous Light Mode, you can expect 2 hours of life in real-world life. When you setting the color temperature of the continuous LEDs the strobe will also fire at the same color - which is a nice feature. The NEO 2 has enough lighting bang to cover many lighting situations and with the many special effects and continuous LED output, the NEO ... This is the best lighting sours that i have ever used! It’s a great light for many situations, I’ve used it for photographing my wife’s ceramic work, bowls and jewellery, pretty much perfect for that. Being able to set the colour and brightness is fantastic, it makes setup very simple. I’ve tried it as a flashgun using and Elinchrom Pro trigger, too early to say if I like that function as much, it’s all that is stopping me from giving it a 5 star review. Even better than the original.
I’ve been a big fan of the Neo1 since it’s release. Provided you don’t expect the unreasonable it’s a great little light. The mk II is even better. I mainly used the neo1 as a fill light for portraits and video or for table top still work. The MkII is useable as a key light, provided you don’t position it 10 feet from the subject. They both make great camera mounted lights for video. I haven’t yet tried the flash functions on the neo2 as I have an extensive speed light setup, but I’m sure I’ll give it a go at some point. Should have extra plug for EU country's and USA.
Thank you for the product, but I forgot to mention, that I live in Norway, so this plug is unuseful here in Norway. We use 220 w I guess we should discuss this before sending it.
