Burt Lancaster stars in this internationally-produced and lavish version of the life of Moses, the famous Jewish Leader, who led the children of Israel out of bondage. Moses was brought up as an Egyptian by the Pharaoh's daughter, who discovered the abandoned Hebrew child floating in a basket in the river. When he grew up, Moses learned of his true identity, and left the pleasures of the palace to join his enslaved people. Chosen by God as His messenger, Moses leads the Jews from the Pharaoh's tyrannical rule. His biggest obstacle, however, was making his own people believe in the miraculous power of the Lord.

    Needs subtitles so EVERRYONE can enjoy it.

    The Story of Moses-according to Hollywood

    I bought this dvd with great anticipation because of the great actors involved.However,on watching it I was dismayed by the fact that the biblical facts were spoiled by 'Hollywood license' which distorted the Bible's record.Because of this I didn't get to the finish.With the mighty Hollywood 'machine' behind epics like this,it is most disappointing to have drama dressed up as 'Truth'.
