Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light is a retro-themed role-playing game that follows the adventures of four unlikely adventurers on a quest to save a young princess from the evil Witch of the North. Designed by the team responsible for the DS conversions of Final Fantasy III and IV, Heroes of Light features play mechanics similar to those found in earlier Final Fantasy titles, with turn-based battles and character classes like the black mage, white mage, and ranger.<br><br>The game's visuals are designed to resemble a pop-up picture book, and the controls take advantage of the handheld's touch-screen interface. Character roles or jobs can be switched at any point during the game with the new "crown system," which alters a character's abilities simply by changing his or her hat. Up to four friends can go dungeon delving via wireless play, where they'll be able to earn battle points that can be exchanged for distinctive items.

    Excellent rpg consider its age. The cool thing about is that you can get to name your characters, just make sure you give them decent names. I'm only reviewing what little I have started playing but I'm sure that I will have so much fun and experience an old ds gem I overlooked in the past.

    Final Fantasy

    I’m not sure on its authenticity but the packaged documents are in great brand new condition. I honestly don’t care if it genuine I love the franchise and I miss it in stores. Been playing it off and on .. great performance no glitches at all. I’m a collectors these games that is why I mentioned it’s authentic value. I recommend this to all ages it’s a rich story and a different twist to a constant story line. Check it out!!!

    I think it was a hacked cartridge

    The game came with all the crowns unlocked and all the characters were exceedingly high level, it also came with 99 of every gem and among other things it is still awesome. Tottaly recommended, great packaging, easy and dependable

    Great game for RPG/Final Fantasy fans.

    I bought this game because I'm a fan of the Final Fantasy series and I wanted to add it to my DS collection. I won't spoil anything for anybody but here are some thoughts I had on the game. [Pros: 1. The game itself is fairly challenging 2. Great crown (class) system 3. Graphics fit the style of the game 4. Customizable characters 5. Fun minigames] [Cons: 1. For a game titled "The 4 Heroes of Light" it sure doesn't seem that way for half of the game... 2. A lot of grinding might be necessary 3. Mediocre story] For a spin off of the original series, this game does not disappoint. In all honesty, it's better than FFIII. Definitely worth picking up if you have a Final Fantasy craving (Like I did).
