Enjoying this game on my GBA, the game on the Retron 5 is sadly a big buggy due to emulation, but on an orignal system it plays very well!

For fans of Doom and fps games, Doom 2 for the Gameboy Advance is a good port of the classic Doom game and keeps everything intact. Green blood is in place of the classic gore lowering the game's rating to a T rating but don't let that bother you as you still get the full Doom 2 experience. It retains Doom's gameplay and will keep you satisfied great game for Gameboy owners.

This game has all you like from the original, save for bigger textures to accomodate for the GBA's screen and power, green blood to replace the original red, and no quick change weapon buttons (because the GBA doesn't have near enough face buttons), this version is the closest to the PC version of Doom 2 as any. I consider Doom II to be the best in the Doom Series, with the best levels and weapon and enemy variety of all. I would highly reccommend this version to anyone who wants to play it on the go.
Doom 2 review.

Basically how Doom II on the GBA should've been in the first place. It's actually an honor to see my romhack in a physical form.
