Coleman Francis: Bad actor, bad filmmaker
Another one of my very favorite MST3K episodes. What can I say about Coleman Francis? Who gave this guy money to make films? His most incomprehensible effort, Red Zone Cuba, has the wooden acting, bad camerawork, and confusing plot that Coleman is known for, but I think the degree is much higher here. Who knows what this movie is about. I'm not even going to try to explain it. The plot is unlikely and hard to follow. It's also morbid, cynical and dismal. The locations he chooses are nearly unfilmable. Every location looks like it was just shot out in the middle of New Mexico somewhere. Since there's nothing to look at, you'd think they'd step up the acting a little bit, but the acting is some of the worst I've ever seen. The dialogue isn't anything to write home about, either. Who Doesn't Love A Convoluted Bay Of Pigs Plot!
Coleman Francis at his (worst)best! MST really gives it to this movie like it deserves, from the director or 'Sky Divers' comes a lousy movie that is sorta about the Bay Of Pigs invasion with a little In Cold Blood. One of MST3K's top 10 movies for sure.

This is one of the most inept, poorly acted, poorly cut, and poorly directed films that I have ever seen...therefore, it's a perfect target for the guys on the SOL! I have every DVD that these guys have put out, and this is definetly one of the best ones that they have done. If you don't have this one, find it, and put it in the collection! Oh yeah, if you can actually figure out where this movie was actually shot without looking at the final credits, you're one up on me!This is one of the most inept, poorly acted, poorly cut, and poorly directed films that I have ever seen...therefore, it's a perfect target for the guys on the SOL!
