    My granddaughter loves them!

    These are small, paper books, with 8 pages, including the title page. Words and phrases are repeated, which provides satisfying success. Most have a little twist on the last page, which makes us both smile. As the levels increase, there are small changes, but nothing that makes "D" overwhelming, compared to "A". I purchased these for my second grade granddaughter, who is the youngest in her class (late August birthday), and who is not reading quite as well as her classmates: reading too fast, leaving out words, lacking confidence. She fell in love with an adorable resin beagle puppy in a box at a nice gift shop. I bought the puppy statue, she named her Pumpkin, and I said that she needed to read all 60 books to me - no errors, or she started that one over - before Pumpkin could go ...

    I didn't expect these books to be so small but the reading material is good. I wasn't happy they weren't in color but my grandson saw the positive. He exclaimed 'Wow I can also color them!". Good Value.
