Hornby Class 60 Diesel Locomotive OO Gauge Model Review
The Hornby Class 60 is one of the best award-winning modern era RTR locomotives that made its debut in early 2006. The Hornby Class 60 is a very powerful locomotive with a heavyweight metal chassis with all wheel drive (AWD) linked to a central can motor. The detail inside the drivers cabs is amazing and the model has see through grilles as well as opening cab doors. The perfomance is very smooth and I like the directional head and tail lights as they look nice when running in low light scenarios and these have a day/night mode that is controlled by a switch underneath on the fuel tank. The model also has sprung buffers and also has NEM coupler sockets to allow the user to use their own coupler if they wish. Although two automatic tension lock couplers are provided with these model ... The Hornby Class 60 is one of the best award-winning modern era RTR locomotives that made its debut in early 2006. The downsides are that there is no cab lights and the roof horns are plastic rather than metal that makes them more prone to damage if care is not taken. However this is one impressive model from Hornby and it sure ticks all the boxes from me :). Overall Rating: 10/10.
