Reviews
Apt not to be satiated with one serving of this appetizing fare, youngsters will never--not ever--pass up a second helping. --Publishers Weekly The illustrations . . . are wildly patterned mixed-media collages, including vegetable photographs, and very funny indeed. --New York Times Book Review, The . . . [E]ven younger readers who find Lola's stance perfectly reasonable will join her in this engagingly playful head game. --Kirkus Reviews This funny, endearing look at how children's tastes can be based more on preconception than taste buds is sure to infuse levity into the daily dinner-table struggle. The author's dedication? 'With love from Lauren/who is keen on Marmite/but would rather not eat a raisin.' --Amazon.com The illustrations are done in a funky, mixed-media style with photographs, bits of wallpaper and fabric and sketchy drawings...regrettably, though my kids loved the book, they did not fall for Charlie's methods when I tried them. --Miami Herald The illustrations resemble a child's cut-and-paste collage and the text often dances across the pages in a variety of fonts. Even finicky youngsters will enjoy this tasty treat. --School Library Journal

Synopsis
"Youngsters will never -- not ever -- pass up a second helping." -- Publishers Weekly Lola is a fussy eater. A very fussy eater. She won't eat her carrots (until her brother Charlie reveals that they're orange twiglets from Jupiter). She won't eat her mashed potatoes (until Charlie explains that they're cloud fluff from the pointiest peak of Mount Fuji). There are many things Lola won't eat, including -- and especially --tomatoes. Or will she? Two endearing siblings star in a witty story about the triumph of imagination over proclivity.

- e***d (290)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseGreat price for this huge book. Shipping was delayed but not too unreasonable though the book could have been packed a bit better with some bubble wrap as it tore through the very thin mailer envelope. Would recommend seller to cushion heavy books better when using thin mailer envelopes to avoid the tearing and potentially loosing books. Book is as described! Satisfied with my purchase and would buy from again if packaging was more sturdy. Thank you :)
- p***r (142)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseAs described ,nice price, quickly shipped but not in a padded envelope, nor with a cardboard padding inside a regular envelope, so corners of book were free to be bumped in transit. They were not. The book looked good even with a tear at one corner of the envelope. Both the seller and the buyer were lucky.
- s***k (121)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseHigh quality book arrived in good condition as described. The book's appearance is satisfactory. A great value! Shipping: Seller shipped promptly. But I received an eBay message saying: USPS made a delivery attempt but were unable to proceed due to an insufficient address. Huh? Also, shipping history said book was "Held at Post Office At Customer Request." I didn't request this to be done! Next day I went to my USPS office. They fished around & found package. My address was correct. Weird.Photographing People (Kodak No Nonsense Photography Guides) - O'Connor, Mich... (#156481824914)
