Spectacular horror movie based on the classic HG Wells novel about a mad scientist and his shocking experiments in genetics. Edward Douglas (David Thewlis) is on a UN mission when his aircraft crashes in the South Pacific. Taken to a remote island which is the domain of the mysterious Dr Moreau (Marlon Brando), Douglas encounters a race of strange, sub-human creatures who intrigue him. Douglas' curiosity draws him into restricted areas, where he is confronted with the full horror of Dr Moreau's genetic experiments on animals and humans. After the Dr's most frightening experiment goes badly wrong, Douglas realises that his own life may be in jeopardy unless he can somehow maintain order - as well as his own sanity.
