    If You Understand USB3, Then You Appreciate This Cable

    If your computer is like mine, it sits under your desk and the only USB3 ports are on the back where you can't easily get to them. Perhaps you bought a new USB3 flash drive expecting it to be faster than your older USB1 or USB2 flash drives but were disappointed when it wasn't. Your problem is that you probably plugged it into the USB2 port on the FRONT of your computer instead of the USB3 port on the BACK. Your brand new, fast, flash drive IS fast -- but your USB2 port is not. Here's the deal; USB1 and USB2 ports (and devices) are interchangeable and compatible, but the new USB3 ports and devices have more internal contacts. You can see them if you look inside a USB3 port, plus the standard is that all USB3 ports are BLUE, not black. If you plug a USB2 device into a USB3 port, is ...

    Disappointed

    I thought this was going to be a top-of-the-line cable due to it's color being different than all the rest, which are blue. The first disappointment was how thick it is. It's not very flexible because of it's thickness. Didn't notice right away, but when plugging it into a computer, it wouldn't make a good connection and I'd have to unplug and plug it again, sometimes 3 or 4 times before the computer would recognize it. Gave up and threw it away. Wasn't worth the hassle.
