This book is exactly as described and in excellent condition. I'm really pleased with the quality and the price I paid which very low and exceptional value for money. The book was very well packaged and dispatched and delivered very quickly in just a couple of days. Excellent communication throughout with the seller. Very friendly, helpful and prompt response. I have bought from this seller a few times and everything has always met or exceeded my expectations.

The item was a great price and arrived quickly. Unfortunately it was damaged, potentially in transit as the box was battered and ripped. I notified the seller and asked for an exchange. The seller replied within a day and said they did not have a replacement they could send, so instead refunded me the total cost. This was really kind and much appreciated! Wonderful customer service!

Great seller for value for money and speedy delivery. They only let themselves down with the very poor packaging. Book came in just a thin plastic parcel bag. The item was still as described but with corners more dented due to the poor packaging. I recommend seller as they are honest and great for value. However, be aware that the packaging gives no protection from bending or dents from the delivery process. Hopefully they will address the packaging issue 😊

The Story of a Typically British Endeavour

During the Falklands war the British needed to render the then occupied Stanley airfield unusable for jets. This is a grippingly written account of how it was achieved using good old British ingenuity, imagination and fortitude. To really enjoy this book I does help if you have an interest in engineering and Physics.

    • I couldn't put it down!

A truly incredible book. A factual account that reads like a thriller. Puts a whole new light on how Britain took The Falklands back and very nearly didn't, how it benefitted Thatcher's time in power and guaranteed her reelection. Does more too than hint at the effects of defence cuts and things to come. Since reading this book and passing it on, I'll often recommend to a friend and buy a second hand copy for them.

    • Brilliant book

A very good read - shame the retailer sent me a Haynes manual for a Honda Civic instead of 607.....!!
