The new controller push buttons play, pause, zoom, home and inputs are in a different configurations, but the most important my old B6 OLED was able to recognize and register the new magic controller.     Different; Comprehensive

    "Different," at least in my experience, in its ability to "project" a cursor onto the TV screen. This enables you to move from one function to another without stepping through a series of up and down arrows. "Comprehensive" because of its multiple functions. The remote is easy to use, but gains in utility as you discover more and more of what it can do. It's fun to explore on your own, but the manual is worth reading. At $49, the remote is not cheap. It is, however, worth the price. Standard with some LG TVs, but a separate purchase with the UH6550.

    Proper remote for the proper TV model.

    This remote is good for the proper model however the cons are that it is not compatible with TV's from 2017 so if you buy some remote make sure to document properly as i had to return it back because the problem was it did not pair with my TV over bluetooth and the magic function did not work, which is why i have buy this remote for the magic function.

    Beyond grateful for this purchase!

    You are a life saver - I couldn't find this remote anywhere and it has been discontinued. New remotes that are compatible are expensive and don't have the smart remote functionalities. I thought I was going to have to buy a new tv. Really appreciate the price point and the availability.

    Good remote, but does not work properly as second remote for same TV.

    I wanted this remote to use as a 2nd remote for my one LG tv, but i found out that you cant program two remotes for the same LG Tv, or at least the model I have. It only partially works with the TV. This is not the sellers fault, but if you are getting one as a second remote, it may not work with your model TV.

    Nice remote

    My new LG (70" 4K TV did not come with this remote, but turns out it is set up for this remote). I bought it and the simple directions did not work in registering or pairing remote. I played around with it for about 15 minutes (turning TV on and off and pressing center wheel with no success until I held the Guide (caption on picture of remote shown with this review). Now it works great. I love just moving the cursor and pointing. It is so much faster than the plain remote that came with the LG TV. Wish the remote came with the TV in the first place.
