      Fine flat-wounds for bass

      These feel strange, coming from other strings. Now my favorite, FWIW. Nice tension point, slacker than many but not as loose as Thomastik flats (which are also fine strings). These have plenty of bottom for that flat-wound sound but are not totally "dead", and do have some nice top end frequency response, also. I've tried lots of others-- maybe not the string for "everyone" but very much worth buying a set to sample see how it goes.

      Best flat wounds i have used

      This is the best flatwound set i have used. I primarily play jazz, mostly standards. These are great. I have jammed with metal friends , a touch of rock and blues too. These sound great, feel great and ARE great. ...the ball end thread wrapping is a bit thick on the low string so i did have to enlarge the bridge hole a bit on one of my basses.vint age bent steel style p Bass bridge.

      Only had these string a couple of weeks. The broke in well and are a pleasure to play. They have a good mellow low end and the mids stand out well and do not get lost in the mix
