Additional Information
In the middle of the 1970's, Slade were possibly the biggest rock band in Britain and so it was no surprise that they looked to branch out and make a feature film. What was a surprise was that they chose to make a bleak, unglamorous look at the life of a fictional working band at the prey of an unscrupulous industry. Despite the film's undoubted quality it was poorly received by their confused fanbase and marked the beginning of their commercial decline.

Great DVD. Service in line with E-bay schedules but a bit slow if compared to Amazon.

    • An entertaining insight into the world of rock music in the late 60s. The DVD has some great extras to enjoy.

it's a great film I hadn't seen befroe, set in the late 60's rock culture and loosley based on the band Slade and their early formation. All four of the band can act pretty well and they were joined by some experienced performers. They play all of the music in the film and create a very good atmosphere of what the music industry was like at the time. Noddy Holder gived a detailed interview after, explaining how it all started and how each member played their part. I thought that it was very entertaining. A good purchase.
