The software was factory-sealed, genuine and had a serial number that I successfully registered with Adobe. Through no fault of the eBay seller, however, Adobe is making it difficult or impossible to activate such legacy software. This ordinarily means it becomes unusable after a couple of sessions, notwithstanding the perpetual license. I am continuing to study the problem.
