Over the top
I have a lot of concerts on DVD and this one is one of the best I have ever had. The guitar playing is second to none and the base player and drummer are some of the best in the business. Their guest singers and a surprise visit by Eric Clapton were fantastic. What a together group of artists all in the same place. You couldn't ask for more. If you only have room for 5 concerts on your shelf, don't leave this one out, it will be the one that you will listen to over and over again. Jeff Beck and the band were absolutely stunning during this concert DVD. The band and guests were performing at exceptional levels, the video was solid and the sound quality was exceptional. To see someone like Jeff Beck who is arguably the the best or one of the best rock era guitarists in a small intimate club like Ronnie Scott's is an absolute treat. Jeff does a lot of unusual things with his guitar like picking with his thumb and fingers instead of using a nylon pick, lots of whammy bar action and manipulating the volume knobs while playing notes. To see what he does close up was very interesting and extremely enlightening as I had only seen Beck in mid-sized and large arenas back in the day. I was not able to truly understand the full extent of his guitar mastery and unique skills from that distance. I highly recommend this DVD for all serious music fans and all guitar players. 10/10.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
