    Big Pimpin'

    Along with "Super Fly," "Shaft," and "Black Caesar," "The Mack" is one of the iconic films of the Blaxploitation genre. Goldie serves his time in prison, for a crime he didn't commit, and while inside he makes the decision to be the biggest, baddest Pimp the streets have ever seen. Unlike some of the silly Blaxploitation pics, this one plays it straight, although not without its moments of humor, and tells a serious, brutal tale of street life. This is one of the best of its kind, and it's also THE movie about the Pimp lifestyle, alongside the equally awesome "Candy Tangerine Man."

    Attention getting. Colorful...

    I first saw this movie at the Drive In. As it was back in the 70s, this movie kept my attention. It made me laugh, cry, and yes some scenes made me angry. I believe this movie got what the writers of this movie wanted. I'm glad I purchased this DVD. Thank you!
