    Typical Canon

    I have like most people tried other brands of lenses to save money as Canon equipment is far from cheap but I have found with this lens as well as others it is a case of 'you get what you pay for' Comparing the image quality of other wide angle lenses to this lens using the same camera the Canon 10-22mm lens was to my eye far superior in every way, build quality is typical Canon, very good, and the lens feels like a quality item that will last.

    Low Distortion.

    Another Canon masterpiece at the price. At 10mm distortion is quite acceptable ie edges are acceptably straight if you are careful in your composition. Hard to beat for large group photographs where space is restricted.
