    Not what I had hoped, although there are some glimmers

    I love the Sons and have been enjoying them both live and recorded since 1968 with the release of one of the best albums any band ever recorded anywhere. You know the one I mean. Unfortunately, there were very few songs on this album that I was able to listen to in their entirety. It's a nice snapshot from the past but don't buy it thinking that it's a buried gem that compares to their later works because unfortunately it does not, in total. It hurts me to say it.
