    Beggar's Banquet

    While I generally consider myself more attuned to the Beatles than the Rolling Stones, I would not want to be without Beggar's Banquet. In the past, I had a second-hand cassette with sound so poor I suspect it must have been a bootleg, and had nothing else better than a scratched used LP. This CD, however, has the kind of sound I was looking for. The instrumental lines all come through clearly, without distracting background noise. Just to pick out a couple of songs for mention - "Dear Doctor" always makes me smile, both for the more or less happy ending and also for Mick Jagger's falsetto performance of the message from the intended bride. "Jig-saw Puzzle" reminds me in some ways of early Bob Dylan. "Sympathy for the Devil", "No Expectations", "Salt of the Earth" - the songs on the ...

    Beggars Banquet--Get It

    I replaced an older copy of Beggars Banquet that got scratched with this and was pleasantly surprised! I'm not an audiophile but this cd sounds great! I mostly listen in my 4 door truck with a Bose sound system because of a long commute. The sound quality is clean and and clear and the separation is awesome. Its like listening for the first time, drums are more in the forefront, guitars are clean and sharp you can hear all the cuts and chops and the vocals are so much more "there". I don't know how all of this will sound on a full stereo system but if you're in your vehicle most of the time listening,,,,Get It!
