Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing of 2017 remix of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Produced by Giles Martin, the album's new stereo mix was sourced directly from the original four-track session tapes. Praised by fans and music critics around the world, The Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper' Anniversary Edition is 2017's most celebrated historical music release and an ideal gift for Beatle People here, there, and everywhere. Released on May 26, 1967 in the United Kingdom and June 2, 1967 in the United States, it was an immediate commercial and critical success, spending 27 weeks at the top of the UK albums chart and 15 weeks at #1 in the US. On release, the album was lauded by the vast majority of critics for it's innovations in music production, songwriting and graphic design, for bridging a cultural divide between popular music and legitimate art, and for providing a musical representation of it's generation and the contemporary counterculture. It won four Grammy Awards in 1968, including Album of the Year, the first rock LP to receive this honor.

    Great sound on high quality vinyl.

    This is my favorite album of all time, by my favorite band. I have the cd of the stereo remix, but also have a high end turntable, and enjoy listening to vinyl as well. This is a high quality vinyl and the album sounds terrific in this format. I have the original Capital album from 1967, as well as a more recent British release, but it is nice to have a new, clean disc. I would recommend this version.

    A brighter, fresh sound from a well-known classic.

    Wow. I must have played the original thousands of times; this fresh new rendering of a rock 'n roll classic offers something slightly different everywhere. And while there may have been the temptation to muck with the basics, all the bones remain there. A great addition to this Boomer's collection.

It is more stereo, more satisfying and you can hear the differences in the lyrics and the instrumentation to form a much more informed presentation of the Beatles clever concept. Emotional vaudeville for the modern era, in stereo.

    Good Album and Price, especially if you get it with a deal

    I got this album to replace my picture disc version (which was a mistake buying) and the sound difference is noticeable. This album is way better sounding than the picture disc. It's a clearer sound. The shipping and delivery was faster than expected by 2 days.
