THE BEST BOOK IN A LONG TIME
The Mongols wrote down the life of Genghis Khan shortly after his death, but it has only been recently that scholars have been able to decipher it. This book gives you info on his life, AND on how he changed the world. Very easy to read, not dull anywhere. One of the best books that I have read in 40 + years
I am a retired professor so I have read 100s of books. After a trip to Mongolia (which I evaluate as 5 star plus plus plus), I read this book. It is fascinating. It is well researched and written in a most accessible style. I have bought a copy for a friend and will re-read it in the next few days. Couldn't put it down.
