Motown 25 - Yesterday, Today, Forever' DVDs are a collection of Motown's greatest performers during a concert aired in 1983 that was hosted by Richard Pryor. Musicians and artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, The Temptations, Mary Wells, and Smokey Robinson and the Miracles all take to the stage to perform top hits. The three-DVD collection includes all performances and special features that highlight the making of the Motown 25. There is also a deluxe edition with six DVDs that include exclusive interviews with writers and producers, rehearsal footage, a reunion special, and a history of Motown music and the performers.

I was so happy with this Motown 25 Yesterday-Today-Forever. Wonderful taking a trip down memory lane. And the quality of the video, sound and picture was perfect. The price was also a good deal. Thank you.

Motown piece of history
The music and the story are engaging, if not infectious. A backdrop to the music I grew up with. It is sad that the funk brothers were only mentioned in a sentence in passing especially considering how much they contributed to the Motown Sound. For example the guitar lick intro to My Girl was by the funk brothers. The extras disk was a bit disappointing with only Marvin Gaye being featured in the rehearsals segment. The producer contributions were interesting but not so much. All in all the event is a piece of history well worth owning.
