    Spectacular Storytelling on a "Great" Wall Scale

    This movie "The Great Wall", starring Matt Damon, Jing Tian, and Willem Dafoe, proved to be a mystical and fanciful adventure concerning China's Great Wall history... Actor performances and the characters they portrayed worked on the level of telling the intended story. And probably the greatest aspect of this movie was the scope of the special effects... The effects were both exciting and mesmerizing. On this level the movie works as a solid form of entertainment. I have seen it twice so far and I enjoyed the movie just as much as in the second viewing.

    Fascinating tale with some darn pretty good CGI

    This was a captivating story from beginning to end with some awesome scenery. While it was definitely a far-fetched tale, it was nonetheless entertaining and very well done. Set along China's Great Wall for the most part, the film was full of colorful scenery and period equipment that may have been stretched to the limits of believability, but nevertheless believable to an extent. Other than the purely made up Tao Tei monsters, the setting and action was fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
