Synopsis
Methods and findings from the social sciences are increasingly important for New Testament scholars. Unfortunately, however, anthropology and related disciplines are still unfamiliar territory for many students of the Bible. This work acquaints readers with this territory by providing introductions and basic bibliographic orientations to the application of social-scientific categories to New Testament research.Although it is impossible to know fully how ancient people lived their daily lives, these essays come as close to realizing that goal as we moderns are likely to get. Required reading for anyone who respects Scripture enough to investigate the world in which it was written and to which its writers originally spoke . . . an invaluable resource for pastor, seminarian, and scholar alike. The packaging was very minimal. One sheet of bubble wrap loosely around the item with way too much room left empty around it in the box. It arrived broken. I sent the photos to the seller immediately, and said I could try gluing the item. This was my attempt to meet in the middle and not require the full refund or the seller to loose out on the return cost of the broken merchandise. The seller offered no compensation.

Better than advertised, really VG. Just some cover wear, very slight tanning pp edges. Professionally packaged, careful board and bubble wrap. Prompt shipping.

Not only was I sent the wrong Item, but the seller had the nerve to ask ME to send the book on to the proper customer! So I'm supposed to do her job as well? Pretty nervy to ask a first-time customer to correct a mistake YOU made! You flunked customer service.
