Dji Mavic Air brilliant drone
I already have a Phantom 4 and wanted another smaller drone for my travels when i cannot take all the big drones and just like the Phantom its superb quality and flies perfectly amazing video footage and so quick and easy to set up but its also very advanced controls so will do loads of stuff the Phantom won't. Only thing I am not impressed with the controller handset which is a terrible design if you want to fit an android phone because its only wide enough in the slots to fit an old Iphone bad design none of my phones fitted and ended up buying a Ipad Mini which i fit in a tablet holding bracket. Who'ever designed the controller needs sacking or given a ruler to measure the space for a phone as most of the latest phones will not slot in. apart from the controller this is a brilliant ... When you look at the DJI Phantom and Inspire which entered the market place a mere handful of years ago you have to wonder how on earth we got to the Mavic Air in such a short space of time. The Mavic and Mavic Pro stunned the market place with its smaller proportions and fantastic performance, they even claimed you could put it in your trouser pocket..... although you may tear your trousers..... With the Mavic Air your trousers are safe... here is a drone you could put in your pocket. This is a truly wonderful bit of technology that is beautifully engineered with a quality standard of finnish. Howvsomething so small can provide such amazing still photos and video is beyound me. This really is a top piece of kit. I bought the Flymore Combo because at a hundred pounds less than than ... A great quality camera drone
As an upgrade from the DJI Spark it earns a gold star from me. Better range, response; and safety due to the obstacle sensors makes it a pleasure to fly. Extra power also means greater distance, longer flight times, plus it can be flown in stronger winds, although obviously one has to be careful it isn't too strong. Another plus is the better quality camera with 4K video giving excellent footage. Well worth the extra cost!As an upgrade from the DJI Spark it earns a gold star from me. The little drone that can
So after spending a considerable amount of time researching which drone best met my needs, I settled on the air. As an amature videographer I wanted something that was going to give me the best footage Vs flight time Vs cost. Having considered models from other brands such as parrot and yuneec I settled on dji’s mavic air as the UI and flight controls fitted my needs for high quality images/videos and it’s intuative controls. with the ability to utilise it’s semi autonomous flight modes to setup and compose movements it was a no brainier. One last thing. The size- It’s tiny, folded up it really is the size of an iPhone 8+. Also the quality of the flymore kit is insane. Really nice carry case and spares package!
