Gamers scrounge for supplies during the day and battle undead abominations at night in Techland Software's open-world adventure Dying Light. Players choose from four customizable characters and then head into a decaying world overrun by infected zombies. The first-person, free-running action is reminiscent of EA DICE's Mirror's Edge, but instead of speeding across rooftops to avoid agents of a totalitarian government, gamers bound through cluttered alleys and ramshackle dwellings as they attempt to rescue survivors, gather needed supplies, and upgrade their weapons.<br><br>Dying Light features realistic day/night cycles that not only provide atmosphere but also drastically alter the gameplay. The plodding zombies shuffling about during the day can be extremely dangerous, particularly in large numbers, but blunt weapons and deft parkour skills are generally enough to keep players alive. But when darkness falls the creatures become faster, more dogged, and they transform into something even more terrifying than reanimated corpses, turning the action-oriented gameplay into more of a survival horror affair. Gamers can fight back thanks to environmental attacks and crafting system that lets them upgrade and customize dozens of melee and ranged weapons, including axes, bats, knives, and guns. Multiplayer fans can also get in on the action thanks to a four-player co-op mode.

    Dying Light is awesome!!!

    Dying Light is probably the best 1st person zombie shooter yet. DL2 is about to release and looks to take things up several notches...but for now??? It's amazing...I wish you could create your own character...and that my wife could choose a female character to play (especially in co-op)...but that's how it works in the gaming industry (for now). All in all?? A great game!!!

    Amazing!!!

    Dying Light is one of the best open world survival zombie games i have ever played, The career is challenging, The upgrades are amazing. I was sceptical at first about getting this game but now im glad i did. I would highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a challenge and who doesn't mind losing themself for hours in the gameplay

    Perhaps one of the best games marketed

    I had my reservations early on regarding a European produced game after being soured by a couple of others, but I do HAVE TO TAKE MY HAT off to the makers of Dying Light. They did an outstanding job at creating a fast-paced and compelling game. I have no idea how many times I have ran through this game, but it is a lot... IN FACT, I HAD TO BUY A NEW DISC because I played it so many times... Can't go wrong here...
