        Very good card. Extra power (4pin floppy plug) needed.

        I use the card for 1. optical connection to AV reciever. I know that hdmi is superior to optical when it comes to multi-channels, BUT it's a video interface, so I'd have to live with a "phantom monitor" (av receiver). Unfortunately in a world of pictures/movies it seems that nobody can be bothered to develop a modern multi-channel audio interface for music lovers like me. 2. I enjoy the card's headphone amplifier. Important: this card needs extra power from the PC's power supply. Many modern PCs have no floppy plug anymore. What I did: bought a sata male to 4pin floppy adaptor and connected a free hdd sata cable to the adaptor.
