Reviews
I am delighted that Philip Eveson has written this brief biography of Henry. interesting and inspiring, it reminds us that a faithful servant of God is like a stone dropped into a still pond, sending out ripples that continue long after the stone disappears.

Synopsis
The name of Matthew Henry will always be associated with his famous commentary. All over the world there are Christians who still appreciate the value of his work. For three hundred years his exposition of the biblical text, devotional comments, practical wisdom, warm theology and helpful insights have been of immense value to Christians both in their private devotions and family worship. Here is not only the writer, but also the preacher, the counsellor and the man of great prayer.Matthew Henry lived during a very difficult period of persecution for Christians who were not prepared to submit to Anglican worship and organization - often being treated as second class citizens. His legacy is one that churches, pastors, parents and individual believers can ill afford to ignore. Many know his commentary, but remain ignorant of the man himself., The name of Matthew Henry will always be associated with his famous commentary. - e***d (292)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseGreat price for this huge book. Shipping was delayed but not too unreasonable though the book could have been packed a bit better with some bubble wrap as it tore through the very thin mailer envelope. Would recommend seller to cushion heavy books better when using thin mailer envelopes to avoid the tearing and potentially loosing books. Book is as described! Satisfied with my purchase and would buy from again if packaging was more sturdy. Thank you :)
- p***r (143)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseAs described ,nice price, quickly shipped but not in a padded envelope, nor with a cardboard padding inside a regular envelope, so corners of book were free to be bumped in transit. They were not. The book looked good even with a tear at one corner of the envelope. Both the seller and the buyer were lucky.Fire - Chihuly, Dale - Very Good - See condition notes (#167369993381)
- s***k (125)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseHigh quality book arrived in good condition as described. The book's appearance is satisfactory. A great value! Shipping: Seller shipped promptly. But I received an eBay message saying: USPS made a delivery attempt but were unable to proceed due to an insufficient address. Huh? Also, shipping history said book was "Held at Post Office At Customer Request." I didn't request this to be done! Next day I went to my USPS office. They fished around & found package. My address was correct. Weird.Photographing People (Kodak No Nonsense Photography Guides) - O'Connor, Mich... (#156481824914)
