    Doesn't support 802.11ac in standalone (autonomous) mode, otherwise decent piece of equipment

    This access point requires a Cisco wireless lan controller on the network. It can be converted to autonomous version IOS. This will require console cable, a computer, and the IOS operating system/firmware. Once in autonomous, it can be used like a normal standalone wireless AP. This was what I did, as I don't have a Cisco WLC. It should be noted that the 802.11ac upgrade module does not work in autonomous version firmware. This is somewhat disappointing because wireless ac was attractive selling point that I can't use. The good news is it has nice antennas with decent range, and the 5GHz 802.11n still has pretty decent performance main points: Range - average to better than average - nice antennas Fast enough 802.11ac does not work in autonomous mode (standalone ap without WLC ...
